GDPR Staff Awareness Training
GDPR came into effect on the 25th May 2018 and has changed the way companies handle personal data. The launch of this new regulation has been greatly publicised and anticipated over the past 12 months. There has been a great deal of discussions within companies about the consequences of non-compliance of GDPR and in particular the possibility of a fine of €20million or 4% of a company’s global turnover.
Worried about the potential fines and the risk of legal class action against them for any non-compliance, many companies have appointed senior members of their company to be GDPR experts or if required nominated a DPO and sent them on courses to ensure they are fully briefed on the new regulations.
However, most companies are forgetting the basics. They are neglecting to inform and educated the people within their companies that really matter, their staff. The people that handle and control the data on a day to day basis. The people that need to know what their responsibilities are as data handlers.
Here at the P2020 Academy we have developed a short but comprehensive Staff Awareness Course that helps your staff to understand how GDPR effects them and their responsibilities towards helping to keep the personal data held within your company secure so that they remain compliant within the regulation at all times.
